Melbourne’s historic home for veterans, families, and community.
Post 191 in the Community
Serving Veterans. Supporting Families. Strengthening Our Community.
American Legion Post 191 is more than a gathering place for veterans. We are part of the community we call home.

Through service projects, youth programs, patriotic initiatives, veteran and family support, community partnerships, and local events, Post 191 works to make a meaningful difference throughout our area.

Our members believe that service does not end when the uniform comes off. We continue that commitment by investing our time, experience, and resources into the people and organizations around us.
Our Community Involvement
Veterans & Military Families
Supporting local veterans, service members, and their families through outreach, resources, fellowship, advocacy, and assistance when it is needed most.
Youth & Education
Creating opportunities for young people to develop leadership, confidence, citizenship, and a greater understanding of the principles on which our nation was founded.

Patriotism & Remembrance
Participating in ceremonies, commemorations, and community activities that honor those who served and preserve the stories and sacrifices of America's veterans.
Community Partnerships
Working alongside schools, nonprofits, businesses, civic organizations, and community leaders to support programs and initiatives that strengthen our local community.
Community Events & Outreach
Opening our doors and showing up throughout the community for activities that bring neighbors together, provide resources, recognize achievement, and create opportunities to serve.
