At The Historic American Legion Post 191, we offer a variety of programs and events for our members and the community. From bingo nights to community service projects, there is something for everyone. Our post is also available for rent for private events, with proceeds going towards our mission. We invite you to come and see what we have to offer!
The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization. Focusing on service to veterans, servicemembers and communities, the Legion evolved from a group of war-weary veterans of World War I into one of the most influential nonprofit groups in the United States.
The Sons of the American Legion is a non-profit organization of male descendants of men or women who served honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War I or since December 7, 1941, through a date of cessation of hostilities as determined by the federal government
The American Legion Auxiliary is made up of the male and female spouses, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and direct and adopted female descendants of members of The American Legion.In the spirit of Service, Not Self, their mission is to support The American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve.
